Music, Music, Music!

There is live music Saturdays at dinnertime, at Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine in East Lansing, from
6:30pm - 8:30pm

There is no cover charge for music night.

	December 3, Temesgen Hussein Temesgen plays two traditional instruments from Ethiopia: the Krar, a six-string lyre, and the Begena, a ten-string harp. He has a collection of old spiritual and love songs full of wise words sung in his native tongue. His voice is resonant, the instruments a perfect accompaniment.
	December 10, The Fabulous Heftones Turn of the 1900s tunes, vocals and Retro/early jazz from the 1920s and more.
	Special Event, Wednesday, December 14! Jen Sygit and Lindsay Lou
	Jen is a favorite in the local music scene, and nationally known for her work. What a talent! She plays many instruments with ease. She writes songs with thoughtful lyrics, then sings her heart out with a strong and expressive voice. Lindsay Lou is a young songwriter who packs a powerful but sweet voice, fine instrumentals and artful songwriting. New on the scene, she is not going anywhere... but up.
	December 17, Hall and Morgan Fine instrumentals and haunting vocal harmonies. This duo never fails to satisfy. Folk and folk-influenced pieces. A treasure!

	January 14, Ernie Block A favorite with Altu's staff, Ernie block plays lap/mountain dulcimer and sings. He may bring a friend or two, and whatever happens it will be a wonderful time.
	February 4, Temesgen Hussein Our house musician returns for his First-Saturday slot. He sings wonderful, ancient songs from Ethiopia, accompanied by authentic stringed instruments.
